The health and well-being of meeting attendees, staff and sponsors remains a top priority. With a close eye on the latest world and local conditions, new technologies and personal safety concerns, SNIS is prepared to make adjustments as necessary.
General Care and Safety Precautions
- In-person registrants will be required to attest that they are fully vaccinated to attend the SNIS 19th Annual Meeting.
- “Fully vaccinated” means at least two weeks have elapsed since receiving the first dose of a single-dose vaccine regimen approved by the FDA or the second dose of a two-dose vaccine regimen approved by the FDA. It is highly recommended that registrants also receive all booster shots for which they are eligible. Exemptions will be available for registrants with a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated. All registrants requesting such an exemption will be required to attest that they have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to arrival at the event.
- SNIS will follow health regulations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Canadian Government, Province of Ontario and City of Toronto mandates during the 2022 SNIS Annual Meeting.
- All attendees may choose to wear a mask at any time, regardless of whether others around them are masked. Disposable masks will be provided at the SNIS registration desk for any attendee who would like one.
- Do not attend the meeting if you are ill or have recently been exposed to COVID-19.
- Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the meeting space and hotel.
- Appropriate social distancing practices will be observed.
- SNIS and the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel will continually review COVID-19 cleaning protocols.
- SNIS reserves the right to review these policies at any time and to make changes as circumstances dictate or allow.
